Share Ambassadors

     Jeff, Becky, Campbell, Claudia and Clara Bee

Five years ago I had my 3rd and 4th children, Parker and Preston. Sadly Parker only lived one day, and Preston two. My husband and I were devastated. All of the excitement that had built over the months during the pregnancy and our hopes and dreams were shattered in an instant. Just a few short months after their deaths I decided to plan A Walk to Remember in Springfield, Illinois. The process of planning the event truly helped my heart take step towards healing. This is what I do as Parker and Preston's mom. Each year over the past 5 years I have plugged away with the planning process, the number of participants increasing and the final dollar amount donated to Share has increased as well. In 2005, I added a new twist by selling white armbands reading "Remembering Our Babies." The idea was greatly received, as so many parents have so few tangible items to remember their beloved children. I owe so much to Share, for they have done so much for me, most importantly validating my babies' brief lives and the depth of my grief. Recently, Share has helped me through the ups and downs of a subsequent pregnancy and the safe arrival of Clara Parkston Bee. Thank you Share, being an ambassador is my pleasure!
